The last couple of hours of the hike were spent going down into the valley rather than viewing it from cliff edges, so that we could see Leura Falls and the extensive Cascades below it. We enjoyed the bright wild parrots and cockatoos feeding in the trees en route. I am not entirely sure I was joking when I offered an old lady $100 for one of her two walking sticks.
